Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister

The Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister in Dresden is one of the most renowned collections of paintings in the world.

The collection of Italian Renaissance and Baroque paintings is one of the most important outside Italy and the collection of Flemish and Dutch paintings is outstanding.

The museum has the world's largest Cranach collection and the collection of vedute (cityscapes) of Belotto (also known as Canaletto) vedute (cityscapes) is also renowned.

In addition to paintings, the museum has an excellent collection of classical sculptures and Renaissance and Baroque sculptures, which are among the most important collections in Europe.
