Dresden Old Town

Dresden
Dresden - Old Town

Dresden, the baroque city on the Elbe, is always worth a visit. It will be even more beautiful and in-depth if you go with my guide and learn a lot of interesting facts about the buildings, the history and the people who lived here.

In this tour you will see all the important sights of the city, such as the Zwinger, the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady – only outside visit), the Hofkirche (Cathedral, former Court Church), the Procession of Princes (Fürstenzug), the Brühl’s Terrace, the unique Renaissance palace courtyard (only during opening hours) and much more.
You will get exciting insights into the history of Dresden and Saxony and learn surprising background information about architecture and culture. Through exciting and sometimes curious stories about the electors and other inhabitants of the city, history comes to life.

It is possible to extend this city tour with a walk to the Altmarkt Square and the Kreuzkirche Church or to cross the bridge to the Neustadt District on the other side of the Elbe (more here).
During the opening hours of the churches it is possible to pay a short visit to some churches (but not to the Frauenkirche).
